Geyer Springs First Baptist Church
About Geyer Springs First Baptist Church
It began in a milk barn on old Geyer Springs road. A handful of like minded Christians came together for the purpose of beginning a new Baptist work on the south side of Little Rock. Throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s Geyer Springs grew under the leadership of Dr. Paul Sanders. In the 1990’s Dr. Sanders led the church to sell the property on Geyer Springs road and relocate to a new 140 acre piece of property on the I-30 corridor between Little Rock and Bryant. For a period of time the church met in two separate locations until the transition was completed.
What began as a modest group of faithful believers has grown into one of the largest Southern Baptist churches in the state of Arkansas. There are many things that make Geyer Springs First Baptist Church unique. When you visit this church you will find a group of people who genuinely love each other and who are interested only in magnifying the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our worship style is a combination of the old hymns of our faith and the more modern praise music of the 21st century. Our commitment is to the Word of God and to the Lordship of Christ.
