Our Story: Grace Fellowship began in the summer of 1979. The initial meetings took place in a home. There was no name, no governing board, and no trained leaders. This small group of 20-30 people simply wanted to study the Bible and care for one another according to the principles they were learning from the New Testament. Soon the church was named Grace - because that's how we get into the body of Christ, and Fellowship, because that's why we gather together. Three elders were appointed to provide leadership, and within a year, they added a part-time youth and children's pastor and a full-time teaching pastor. After meeting in a local elementary school for a year, the church purchased a small building on Virginia Street in 1982. Grace Fellowship grew steadily, and in 1992 moved to our present location consisting of about 33 acres on Greenwood Drive. In spite of continued growth, Grace Fellowship has sought to maintain its commitment to relevant Bible teaching, small groups of people meeting in homes, and strong lay leadership.

Our vision has matured to focus on creating believers in Jesus Christ whose authentic lifestyles influence our community through sharing the incomparable good news and engaging in grace-motivated good works. Our story continues to be written on the hearts of each person that is touched by one of our members or by the ministry of Grace Fellowship.
