We are an independent Baptist church that is committed to proclaiming the truths of the Bible, preaching the Christ of the cross, and challenging believers to live a Christ-like life. As an independent Baptist church, we are not under the governing rule of any outside council, association, or organization. Our ministry operates under the scriptural mandate of leadership and direction by the pastor, who is assisted by the deacons. (I Timothy 3:113) Our purpose is to fulfill God's "Great Commission" for His church. (Matthew 28:19-20) His commission is threefold in its nature. First, we are to "go" or evangelize. This declares our responsibility to take God's message of salvation to the unsaved. Once an individual has trusted Christ as personal Savior, the second aspect of this commission is to be "baptized" by immersion. This is the demonstration of a believer's obedience to Christ and willingness to follow Him. The last aspect of His commission is to "teach" or make disciples. Our obligation is to teach new believers from the Word of God so they can grow and mature in their Christian faith.

(II Timothy 3:16-17). •Involve members in the ministry through weekly ministry opportunities (II Timothy 2:2). •Impact the greater Flint area and the regions beyond with the Gospel of Christ through weekly soul winning and the worldwide faith promise missions program (Matthew 28:19-20).
