Prayer
Hi, I wanted to update you all on my condition after stopping the Effexor; the antidepressant drug that had me so sick last week:
I am doing about 99.9% better; still a bit fatigued-especially when doing something that requires physical effort or exertion of any sort-and the backs of my legs feel tight-like they're made of tough rubber, or something-but generally speaking, I am WAY better this week than last :) Any little thing I can get done, now, is a huge blessing, and I thank you all for praying for me :)
Later this afternoon I do have an appointment with my GP (general physician) and she may want to 'try' me on a different medication, but I will inform her of my decision, that I will not be interested in trying that (I'm keeping the appointment to discuss a secondary matter, today) so the prayer request is:
1.) I keep my resolve 100%, to not be swayed to go back on a pharmaceutical drug-as all have about the same side-effects, some more severe than others, but basically the same,
2.) That the counseling I will begin next month on the 4th of October will be very beneficial to me (the founders of the clinic, husband and wife, are both Christians) and that I will have the financial means to pay for the sessions, particularly the first two months, as the fee for the assessment in October will be $85 for an hour and a half, and the second appt. will run me $60, and the third appointment, $35, and then $35 for each session following. If I can get through the first two months without a snag, then the once a month session won't be too difficult. I pray for a mild October and November, then..
