- need prayer and advice - I am also unemployed and find that the degree I worked so hard to attain is no longer good enough. At 55 it is troublesome to know that I have applied to 40 institutions and not one of them is willing to take a chance. Only 1 interview has come my way. I made some poor life choices and struggle everyday to not remember what was and hope for what will be. I like you pray. I pray for forgiveness from those I have wronged, I pray for someone to take a chance on me. Without prayer and faith I would have nothing in my life. I have no place of worship BUT I worship the One who provided me with a spouse that works hard to keep us afloat. I once owned a home with central A/C, a pool, beautiful furniture and I risked it all to move closer to the man I love. I had faith that God would never let me be hungry and keep a roof over my head. I now live in a one bedroom apartment, struggle to be a home economist and still feel blessed that the Lord continues to provide. I don't know your exact circumstance but I do know that God is watching out for you. He broke my spirit so I would let Him in. Perhaps someone needs a room to rent, perhaps you could rent them a room to help with your finances. Perhaps an employment agency could find you some kind of work. Keep turning over stones, don't give up, have faith that the Lord will lead you to where He wants you to be. (Jul 01, 2012)
