- Waiting on God's Timing - I know what you mean aj, I am 53 and single. I was married once/divorced and I have been in several relationships. I have been single a long time and sometimes it is like I am the only person on the planet. But at this point in my life if God does not send him/my husband; then I do not want him. No, I do not know when he will come or where I will meet him. It may will be on ChristianMingle; it may be at my church; it may be at Walmart or at the gas station, but wherever it may be I must wait on the Lord. The bible says, 'For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to you a future and a hope.' Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV. The KJV says, 'an expected end.' The Amplified version says, '...the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace, and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.' This is what I must look forward to; what God has already prepared for me. Sometimes I get so lonely I feel like I am going to die, but when I think of the disappointment and the consequences of failure and past mistakes; I cannot afford to jump into a relationship that has not been ordained by God. They that wait shall renew their strength. There is no failure in God. Amen (Aug 23, 2012)
- need prayer and advice - Looking at the date of your post I hope your situation has changed for he better. Your statement that God must want to see you go crazy is like deja vu; but be careful. You know God is your help or your would not have mentioned Him at all. I knew it and that is why I kept asking Him, 'What are You doing up there?' But through it all He has sustained me. I lost a good paying job, moved to a city where I did not know anyone, could not find a job that paid me what I was worth, and I still am grossly under paid. Living from check to check. Sometimes, I have to allow something to get turned off for a month or so until I can catch up. Sometimes, I have not idea how I am going to put gas in my Jeep or food on my table. But you know what I thank God that I only have me to support. (All my children are adults) I pay my tithes, I give offerings when I can. I sow seeds when God bless me with seed to sow. And now I know what it means when the word says, 'I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread. Don't lose faith. If you don't faint you will win. God bless. (Aug 21, 2012)
- victim - I am a voice that will cry loud and spare not. And this is a warning to anyone, man or woman seeking relationships online or in person. If someone even feels comfortable having conversations with you regarding their financial situation; I don't care if they are rich with proof, this is not the person you want in your life. A man is a provider. A woman is suppose to have virtue. If they are true believers in the things of God, neither will feel comfortable approaching the subject. God's people are not borrowers or beggars. Don't be gaulible. Ask God for wisdom and the power of discernment before you do anything with such long term consequences. I'm just saying. God Bless You. - I give up. - Looking at the date of your post I am hoping that your situation has changed. But remember, Be anxious for nothing, but in all things with prayer and supplication make your request known to God and He shall provide for you all things. He will withhold no good thing from you. Trust Him. Continue to speak to your situation. Engross yourself in Him and you will be pleasantly suprised when the blessing overtake you. Don't forget to give HIm what is due Him, 'the tithe.' I have learned the hard way that if you touch it, you curse your blessing. Sow seeds and you will reap a harvast. And remember to walk in love; you cannot operate kingdom minded on one side of your seed and flesh minded on the other side of your seed and aspect a harvest. Love and peace be with you.
