Everything happens for a reason

Growing up I never had a father figure in my life. So when the first guy looked at me and pretended I was something special I thought I was in love. All he did was bring me down telling me he loved me then taking it back. Getting physically abusive and mentally to where he wrapped me around his finger and played with my mind. It got so bad to where he convinced me if I cut myself all the pain would go away. It became a bad habit and when he finally begged me to break up with him then letting me know how worthless I was and he used me I couldn't handle it. The harassment in school pushed it over the edge, Each time the cuts got deeper and deeper to where they wouldn't stop bleeding and I was humiliated so dropped out of school for 2 months. Later, it resulted in a suicide attempt and my best friend playing me just like my ex. After that I was convinced all guys were a piece of trash and gave up. Then a few months later the guy I had a crush on finally talked to me. I didn't know him well but the first time we hung out he ended up raping me. The cutting started back up and I thought I could never trust anyone again. After that, summer came around and my friend convinced me to go to youth camp, There I was born again and all the pain and hurt began to go away. Now when I open up and share what I've been through with young people I'm able with God's help to bring them to Christ and help them through some of the same situations I went through. Letting them know someone understands and will love them unconditionally. Be there friend and listen to there problems. I regret nothing that has happened to me. Now.. years later, I've led so many to church and Christ. Its my honor now to watch them grow in God and reach out and help others just like a young girl once did for them.
