Acts 2: 2-4 "And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."
All my life, I had been told by pastors, ministers, and men of God that the Lord has His hand on my life and I have a work to do for Christ. However, I would run from my calling for many years. God then filled me with His Holy Spirit when I was 22 years old. But even then, after some years, I stopped serving Him.
All that changed for me one November night last year. I had come home from a night of partying and celebrating my birthday. As I went to bed, I was awakened by a horrible pain in my chest. I grabbed my chest and got out of bed. The pain was so great that I fell to the floor. I do believe that I was having a heart attack and that it was Gods way of getting my attention so He could speak to me. I curled up in a ball on the floor and with tears in my eyes, asked God not to let me die alone in my room.
Suddenly, I felt the spirit of the Almighty God enter my room. The feeling was almost overwhelming! Gods Holy spirit then took control of me and God began to speak to me thru prophecy. I can't remember all that he said to me, but what I do remember, I wrote it down once I came out of His spirit. God said this to me:
You have been called and chosen by me.
You must help me get the people ready.
I love you beyond measure, you are mine my son.
I have a place for you.
I will bless you beyond measure.
You must serve me.
Many will come and be saved from your work.
I have so much in store for you.
You will have gifts, the gift of healing.
I will bless you with the desires of your heart.
This was such an awsome, powerful, overwhelming experience and display of Gods power and love for me that I will now serve Him for the rest of my life! ALL praises to the Lord!!
